why vote for me
A voice, a face, and a place for every student.
I believe in setting others up for success.
my leadership
I set people up for success. This is what I have done as the Welcome Committee Leader, the Secretary, and as captain of my soccer team. I will continue doing the same as president.
voice
I will commit to using the relational capital I have, with teachers and other Student Council members, on behalf of the students. I want to hear their voice; I will protect and listen to them. I will be a conduit and a voice for the students to the Advisors and Admin of NSA. I will be a voice for the students.
face
I want students to belong from their first glimpse of NSA. I want students to belong through their orientation and Teams. I want to make sure that students are able to see people like themselves and feel belonging. I want to give students a face.
place
We (as Student Council) have begun the process of giving students a place to belong and feel accepted through clubs and student leadership. I will continue to ensure students feel included, heard, and wanted, through volunteering and the community of NSA. I want to give students a place.
“I believe God has amazing plans for the world-changing students of Northstar.”
my goals for northstar
I want to continue to create a beautiful community for the beautiful people.
student leadership
I respect student leadership. I would like to see students lead to their full potential.
I want Northstar to be a community in which people enjoy being a part of.
support, belonging, and joy.
I want northstar to be a place where people can find belonging and joy. Not only in Highschool, but also in Middle School and Elementary. I will make ways for other students to lead. I will make places for students to belong. I will create spaces for students to share their voices.
my goals for student council
I play soccer, and often I play either center midfield or left forward (the person in the middle of the field who passes the ball to the striker to score or the person who passes the ball to the center for others to score. I have found that my role on my soccer team and my role on StuCo to be very similar. They have both reflected my value:
setting other people up for success
And that is exactly what I will do for Student Council and all of NSA. I want everyone to succeed.
I want to build a place for relationship inside of StuCo and create a safe place for the members to belong. Student Council is not only a group of people, but it is a nation and a family. I will facilitate conversation and foster an environment of listening and respect. I believe these attributes will set StuCo up for success.
While I am president StuCo will operate on principals of organization, timeliness, and clarity, so that our messages to the students are clear and well thought out.
accountability
I have experience at NSA and outside of NSA. I started the Grade Teams because I saw an issue with communication and the representatives. Within two months, grade teams were up and running. I’ve led committees, started new clubs from scratch, and been able to vouch for others. I started the tutoring team which has been successfully running for two semesters.
As Welcome Committee Leader my team reached out to more than 500 students. As Secretary I have led NSA Connects, LEAD300 EVPs, event committees, etc.
I run a landscaping business with my mom, my art was on public display, I have spoken on stage at a leadership conference, and I have led teams volunteering in my community.
