Student Council President 24-25
Hi!! My name is Maia Coyle and I am running for the 24-25 StuCo President! I have been at Northstar for almost 5 years! I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA, with both of my parents and, currently, my sister, Elena. I have one bunny and three turtles (and a few other small animals). I was born in Beijing, China where my family were missionaries for over 20 years. I can speak Chinese fluently. When I was nine, my family moved to the US, and we found our way to Virginia Beach, where my family lives now. I’ve spent long periods of time in (but have never officially lived) Texas, Washington, and Thailand.
I love people, plants, and animals! I love being with my family and being outside. I play competitive soccer with my amazing teammates where I’ve played for almost two years. I have been the captain of my soccer team a few times throughout each season. I also love to swim and surf. My sister and I have run a surf club during the summer where we fellowship with students and, of course, surf!
In my free time I love to read, write, bake, and draw! I also love to play the piano.
That’s a bit about me!
“I am meant to be the paint of the one true Artist.”
I believe I am put in place to be the paint of the One True Artist. This is one of my life quotes which I said from a credo assignment in Wisdom Literature. It has grown to be a part of my life and the quote I live by. I was meant to be the paint of God, and He may do with me whatever He would like, for He is the Artist and Creator.
